Itinerary
Day 1 :
FLY ADDIS TO JINKA -TURMI-OMORATE-TURMI
Upon arrival Pick you up in Jinka Airport with a good condition 4WD with a built in modern AC systems as well as charging facilities, then drive to the border town of Omorate, which is home to the Dassanach tribe, who are thought to have Bantu descendants. Crossing the newly constructed Omo River bridge and heading to a little-known dassanch pastorilist community, hoping to arrive before the sun rises, before the cattle leave their barn to capture the incredible natural and human atmosphere, would then photograph children feeding and playing, women milking, cooking by fire, grinding corn meal, and men with their flock. Day 2 :
JINKA-MURSI-FLY BACK TO ADDIS ABEBA
Today our journey begins early in the morning after breakfast with an excursion to the scenic Mago national park, where the Mursi tribes reside. We will explore some Mursi villages across the Maki river. The Mursi semi-nomadics are noted for wearing large lip palte Then after visiting this tribe for as long as you need drive back to Jinka and transfer you to the Airport when check in time is on for your flight back to Addis.
Day 3 :
Day 3: Hamar Tribe Experience and Return to Arba Minch
Morning:
Depart for the town of Turmi, passing through Key Afer, known for its weekly market. Explore the market and interact with locals.
Late Morning:
Continue to visit the Hamar Tribe, distinguished by their distinctive attire and hairstyles. Gain insights into their daily lives and customs, including the renowned Bull Jumping Ceremony.
Lunch:
Enjoy a picnic lunch or dine at a local restaurant, savoring the flavors of traditional Ethiopian cuisine.
Afternoon:
Return to Arba Minch, capturing final glimpses of the diverse landscapes and villages.
Evening:
Arrive in Arba Minch for a farewell dinner, reflecting on the unique cultural experiences encountered during your Omo Valley Tribes Short Stay.
